Bishop’s Barbeque Annual Fundraiser
April 25• 8am-9am
We are in need of volunteers to help place the carpet tiles in our gym in preparation for the Bishop's BBQ.
April 26• 10am-2pm
Volunteers will finish set-up inside and under the tent.
April 26• 3pm-5pm
Volunteers are needed to help with last minute touch ups and prep.
April 27th• 9am-12pm
Volunteers are needed to help clean up and get the gym ready for after school programming. This may include cleaning, vacuuming, and stacking carpet tiles. Volunteers who assist with this shift will receive double hours.
School Supplies Drive • August Sort and pack donated school supplies for children in need.
Family Christmas Registration • Early October Individuals are needed for short shifts to help sign up families and seniors for our Family Christmas Program. Registration appointments involve meeting with families to gather information and wish lists. Bilingual translators appreciated but not required.
Halloween Trunk-or-Treat • Late October Individuals, groups and businesses are welcome to decorate their trunks and pass out candy to serve the community with a fun, safe event.
Christmas Toy Market • December 4-9 The week leading up to the Christmas Toy Market, volunteers will be needed to organize presents for pick up and price toy donations. On December 9, Individuals and groups may sign up to assist families shop the Toy Market, join our gift wrapping station, distribute adopted families’ presents and spread Christmas cheer to our neighbors in need.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) • January-April Provide free tax preparation to households making less than $64,000 a year.

Food Bank • Weekdays • 9am-1:30pm Help pack food and unload boxes.
The Nashville Diaper Connection Sort and package donated diapers.

Mobile Meals • Weekdays Deliver hot, nutritious meals and a friendly visit to seniors and home bound individuals living in West Nashville.
Senior Social Activities • Thursdays Visit with seniors and assist with activities and outings.

After School Program • Weekdays • 3:30pm-5:30pm Help mentor and invest in children with Preston Taylor Ministries.
Preschool • Weekdays • 6:30am-5:30pm Read stories, play games, clean toys, create bulletin boards, host a monthly birthday or holiday celebration or check out library books to parents.

Administrative Support • Weekdays • 8:30am–4:30pm Answer phones, greet visitors, stuff envelopes and organize materials. Shifts are highly flexible.
Photography • Help us tell the story of St. Luke's Community House and the people we serve! We need a volunteer to capture pictures of great moments during special events and activities throughout the year. The volunteer needs to have experience in photography, good people skills and sensitivity to the clients we serve. The equipment and software for photo editing are welcome but not required. The volunteer will help get photo releases signed, as needed. All photographs will be the property of St. Luke's however, arrangements can be made for portfolio credit and permission for agreed photographs.

All volunteers will need to complete the application, waiver, and background. Volunteers age 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers age 16-18, must sign the consent form.
