Testimonies from our community
I will forever hold kind thoughts of St Luke’s, as I grew up on California Ave. My family came to the Saturday morning sales back in the 60’s and most of my clothes were bought there. I got my shots before school and played on the playground there. My mom who is 88 years old remembers going to St. Luke’s as a teenager when she had no shoes and someone finding a pair for her. My parents talk of Miss Julia and how kind she was to all the people in the area in the 30’s and 40’s. Every week, my grandmother went to the senior club back in the late 70’s and loved meeting with friends and making crafts. I am thankful for all the work you do.
Mobile Meals by St. Luke's, prepared by The Nashville Food Project.
I have been blessed to receive meals for years from your generous, wonderful volunteers. This year there’s been a change in the meals. The food is delicious, the portions are for an adult, and there’s variety and even salad dressing, etc! My heartfelt thanks and appreciation to whomever or whatever made this change possible. God bless you!
St. Luke's provides Volunteer Income Taxes Assistance (VITA).
The execution of the VITA program and all staff performance has been exceptional. Betti was my first contact and was not only helpful but kind and respectful. Without exception, I was treated with respect and by knowledgeable people. Thank you beyond words.

I enjoy the opportunity to give back to this community that I was apart of during my teaching experience. It bring me joy to provide to those I interacted with everyday.
Lorrie and her grand daughter at preschool graduation
I wanna shout thanks to St. Luke’s. My grand daughter just graduated from their preschool and my mother also went there years ago. Thanks for all you do for the community! Thank you so much to the teachers for helping my grand daughter. St. Luke’s has always been there for me.
