OUR Child Development Center

St. Luke’s Child Development Center is a licensed Program for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. St. Luke’s is licensed by the TN Department of Human Services and received a cumulative score of 94 (out of 100) on the Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS) for the 2024-2025 licensure year.

WE ARE OPEN WEEKDAYS FROM 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM

CHILDREN MUST BE DROPPED OFF BY 9:00 AM

NAEYC Accredited

We are thrilled to share that St. Luke’s Community House Child Development Center is now officially accredited by The National Association for the Education of Young Children. This accreditation is considered the gold standard in early childhood education. St. Luke’s is only the 9th center in Nashville to earn this distinction, and just about 2% of early childhood programs nationwide who achieve NAEYC accreditation.

Programs that earn this recognition meet rigorous, research-based standards across all areas of care and learning, including:

• Teacher qualifications and ongoing professional development

• Developmentally appropriate curriculum

All of St. Luke’s Child Development Center classrooms utilize FrogStreet early childhood programs, which offer specific curriculum for every age and every stage of development! This curriculum offers developmental and learning continuums that allow children to build on previously mastered skills to more readily achieve new skills in a seamless and continuous way.

St. Luke’s Preschool is proud to be a United Way Read to Succeed site! Read to Succeed is a comprehensive early childhood learning model that builds academic and social-emotional skills for children from birth through age five. Through Read to Succeed, children learn the skills they need to reach their highest potential!

WE HELP CHILDREN GROW!

Our teachers are trained to utilize Conscious Discipline in every classroom. Conscious Discipline offers solutions for social-emotional learning, discipline, and self-regulation. WE provide nutritious meals!

Our partners at The Nashville Food Project prepare a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack for our Preschool children daily! With a focus on fresh fruits and vegetables, they are always introducing new flavors and creating nutrient dense meals for our students.

St. Luke’s participates in the Child & Adult Food Care Program, which is a federal program that provides reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks! You can rest assured that your child is eating nutritious meals and snacks when they attend St. Luke’s Child Development Center.
